Upon entering the retreat we start by getting clear on the stories you are telling yourself about who you are, what you do, and the value of your work.

Now that we're clear on the story you're telling yourself, we move on to the story you're telling the people you want to serve through your offer. This is how we develop your sales skills, strategy and pitch.
Stewardship
Lastly, we focus on what's required to steward your liberatory worldbuilding offer into the future. You'll emerge from the retreat with an offer aligned with your skills, values and material needs and an understanding that creating an income stream you control is responsible stewardship over your ancestral gifts.
The Erotic Engineering Retreat runs from October 27th to December 11th, 2026, with live Erotic Engineering sessions every Tuesday and Thursday at 12PM EST.

The Retreat
The Erotic Engineering Retreat is informed by a 6-step black feminist worldbuilding framework designed to help you seed, sell and steward an income-generating offer without severing your Erotic spirit from your labor.
Rooted in speculative practice, this compass takes the form of a story circle so you can return to it again and again as your practice evolves. Instead of a one-time launch formula, this is a worldbuilding technology you can practice inside of across a lifetime. Across 6 weeks, you’ll use 3 essential tools that transform desire into sustainable income: Story, Sales and Stewardship.
The Erotic Engineering Compass Informs The Retreat
Story
Upon entering the retreat we start by getting clear on the stories you are telling yourself about who you are, what you do and the value of your work. We ask, “what do you want and who do you want to do it as?” We start by getting clear on the story emerging from your soul's desire.
WEEK 1
Identify Your Framework
In Week 1 of the retreat, you use your Zone of Desire and interdisciplinary skill set to name the signature framework unique to your process or method. Your framework name has the power to become the title of your next offer, book, music album, community organizing technology or consulting method.
WEEK 2
Map Your Framework
In Week 2 of the retreat, we will use your framework name to map out the tools and practices that facilitate the transformation your framework offers. We will use plain language to communicate the complexity of your unique way of working, so you understand and value it first, before offering it to others.
Sales
Now that we're clear on the story you're telling yourself, we move on to the story you're telling the people you want to serve through your offer. This is how we develop your sales skills, strategy and pitch. By Week 3 of the Erotic Engineering Retreat, you’re clear on what you do and who you’re doing it as. Now we’ll get clear on the income generating offer you want to share and practice inside of.
WEEK 3
Offer Your Framework
Worlds need resources: whether it’s time, money or labor. By creating an offer to share your creative gifts you are entering into a reciprocal relationship of sacred resource exchange. Not every worldbuilder needs a business, but every worldbuilder needs an offer. Inside Week 3 of the retreat, we create your offer; including the price, delivery structure and tech tools.
WEEK 4
Practice Your Framework
We will create a cadence of return in your practice, whether its daily, weekly, monthly or seasonally—you cannot offer a transformation you haven't lived. In Week 4 of the retreat, you will commit to a cadence of practice inside your framework through creative dispatches in the form of newsletters, podcasts, videos, snail mail, etc.
Stewardship
Lastly, we focus on what's required to steward your liberatory worldbuilding offer into the future. You'll emerge from the retreat with an offer aligned with your skills, values and material needsand an understanding that creating an income stream you control is responsible stewardship over your ancestral gifts.
WEEK 5
Sell Your Framework
Develop a flexible sales cycle that can adapt around your changing needs, health and community care responsibilities. We remember sales is simply storytelling and if we've ever applied for a job, school or grant, we've already practiced our sales skills. In Week 5 of the retreat, you develop a system for making "asking for the sale" a consistent worldbuilding practice.
WEEK 6
Steward Your Framework
When you’re clear on who you’re worldbuilding for, you know who you’re accountable to. By Week 6 you’re already clear on how you serve, now you'll root even deeper in why you serve. This is where you will create a manifesto for the world you're building through your story, framework, and income-generating offer in order to attract participants aligned with your values.

The Erotic Engineer’s Workbook is your companion through the retreat and long after it ends.
Built directly from the Erotic Engineering compass and informed by Black feminist praxis, this workbook guides you through all 6 modules with depth and precision. Each chapter includes worksheets, templates, toolkits, frameworks, checklists, prompts and resources designed to help you seed and sell your liberatory worldbuilding offer, step by step.
It’s a living resource you’ll return to as your work expands, your income grows and your world evolves.

Meet Your Erotic Engineer
I’m Ayana Zaire Cotton (she/they), a black feminist worldbuilder, writer, Erotic Engineer, artist and business architect devoted to helping other black feminist artists, facilitators and organizers build lives and livelihoods rooted in desire and care. My work lives at the intersection of spell and strategy, poetry and plumbing, eroticism and engineering, income and intuition. I don’t teach pedagogy I haven’t practiced. I teach from embodiment and the transformations, initiations and experiments that made my work sustainable, resourced and sovereign.
Through Seeda School, I support worldbuilders who are done relying on institutions, gatekeepers or permission slips from the old world. Together, we treat creative practice as non-negotiable ceremony and offer development as a pathway (out of many) to sustain our work on our own terms.
I help worldbuilders clarify their offers, develop values-aligned sales systems and build recurring revenue that funds their writing, research and worldmaking without sacrificing integrity, pleasure or political clarity.

I loved the structure of the Retreat. It has everything you need to birth your offer and business. We had the tools and time to work autonomously and in-depth. Then, we had our amazing Open Studio Calls, where the communal revolutionary spirit made its magic. In between, the asynchronous support via Discord and email was a guiding light and helped me feel never alone.
Today, just two weeks after the Retreat's end, I started softly launching my program. I may not have been here without the Retreat!
